DESIGNER Francesco Morena he graduated in 1980 from Venice University Institute of Architecture with professor Aldo Rossi.
Francesco Morena took part in many national and international competitions as Trieste Pescherie, Udine Hospital, Bolzano Library, European Centre for Emerging Creativity, Centola, Pordenone Theatre, Linz Theatre and Dortmund Museum.
He was also in charge for the interior design of different cruise ships for important companies as Carnival Lines and P&O Lines.
In Italy he carried out various projects that involved intervention on large urban areas:
. Monfalcone former hospital area with the design of the new town hall and several business, shopping and residential buildings.
. Cividale, former Italcementi space, a huge area that is going to become "Cividale 2" a new small satellite town.
There will be the bank of Cividale headquarters, a shopping centre, a new university area and other commercial and business premises.
Architect Morena is currently involved in the project for one of the biggest European shopping centres, in the southern part of Brussels, a 173 acres area called "Wainege - Aulniats".
Two huge projects are keeping the Studio busy in China:
. The restoration of the old town Tong – Li, in partnership with the Chinese architect Mi Qiu.
. The project of a Hotel and Business building in Yang Shang, an island close to Shanghai. The hotel, leaning toward the sea, is going to be the landmark of the island with its 400 feet height.
Francesco Morena's work was published by many international magazines and architectural reviews.
